Rhydycar Leisure
Centre, Merthyr

Purpose built in the 1970's, Rhydycar Leisure
Centre provides recreation, sport and
leisure facilities for the residents of Merthyr
Tydfil and its neighbouring villages
throughout the year.

Rhydycar is often employed as a venue
for conferences, boxing matches, concerts and
exhibitions.

     Technical Details

The entire Rhydycar complex is heated by a
coal fired central boiler plant and managed
on a CEM basis by Complete Heat Services
Ltd.

The energy supplied to feed the boilers is a
Tower coal product in the form of quality
anthracite beans.

The low cost of Tower coal to the Local Authority
provides the "Best Value" energy supply.
