Technical Details
The buildings at Sardis Road are occupied by
a number of organisations alongside the
South Wales NUM, but coal remains the most
cost effective answer to their heating and hot
water requirements.

From two individual boiler houses, Gravity Feed
Appliances provide for the fluctuating annual load
and demonstrate high levels of efficiency. Coal, in
the form of Tower anthracite grains is delivered
fortnightly by conveyor tanker, directly into the
on-site bunkers, thereby ensuring comfortable
environmental conditions throughout the year.
