Authority area, Coed-Y-Lan Upper School was built
on the siteof the former NCB Albion Colliery

All heating and hot water requirements are provided
for by modern automatic gravity feed boilers burning
approximately 200 tonnes of Tower anthracite
grain per year.

Coal is delivered by conveyor tanker direct.

     Technical Details

Coed-Y-Lan's coal fired equipment comprises two
Stelrad 510K Britannia Boilers fitted with Earleymil
Combustion Systems.

Such systems are fully compliant with environmental
legislation and are compatible with modern energy
management.
