Cwmcarn Grant
Maintained School

One of a handful of schools to 'opt out' of
direct Local Education Authority control
following the reorganisation of the Unitary
Authorities in 1994, Cwmcarn has consistently
maintained a high standard of education by
offering a wide range of subjects to pupils
within the catchment areas of Blaenau
Gwent, Islwyn, Torfaen and Newport County
Borough Councils.

With apportioned funding a key issue, parents
and governors need to be assured that "Best Value"
is achieved in the purchase of all goods, materials
and services supplied to the school.
