REVISED
22 MAY 2013
The BBC Radio quiz Quote ... Unquote
has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in the United Kingdom since 1976.
Devised and introduced by myself, the world of Quote ... Unquote now encompasses a substantial archive of material
concerning quotations and ‘well-known phrases and sayings’ of many
types.
When the programme is not on the air, searching for ‘lost’
quotations and for the origins of phrases and sayings is undertaken in The “Quote ... Unquote”
Newsletter and through this website.
Series
49 of the radio show will be broadcast from 5 August 2013 and recorded in
London during July. Click here for more
on this, for photos of past guests and for details, too, of our signature
